Excited with a skip in my step, I rush on my way.

I had gone as far as I could, then I reached a dead-end.

Would I ever find Happiness?! I was going round the bend!

I backtracked and came upon an area called Doubters’ High Street.

To the left was Sad Avenue and to the right Procrastination Row which I didn’t want to meet.

I walked and walked along Purpose-filled Road.

Then I came across a Decision-to-Make crossroad.

There were so many roads from which to choose.

I put my head in my hands, I didn’t want to lose.

The Excitement Road was bright and all lit up.

Yet there was something temporary about this whole setup.

On my way I passed slip roads of Disappointment.

So I decided to take the route to Fulfilment.

The Fulfilment Road was curvy and full of bends.

Left, right, was it ever going to end?

I persevered ignoring Quick Fix Avenue and Money Rise.

I did hesitate when I got to the No-Need- to-Work Side.

But I carried on though the going was tough.

Passing nice areas along with the rough.

I came to a large expanse called Satisfaction Meadow.

Wherever I looked people seemed to glow.

Where is Happiness? I thought I would enquire.

I hoped it was nearby as my feet would tire.

Happiness! Yes! That’s the new state.

You’ve already found it, can you not relate?

You took a risk and put Happiness in your mind.

You travelled all over to see what you could find.

All the time Happiness was here in your heart.
